SALARY: $42,000/year

JOB OVERVIEW: The Associate Director of Engagement is an essential role at the Kratt Brothers Creature Hero Foundation (KBCH) and helps oversee all outward-facing aspects of the nonprofit. This role will include creating and promoting content on social media, creating exciting activities for young Creature Heroes, managing our website and newsletter, fundraising, and focusing on the engagement of our Creature Heroes. Much of this position will include working with the Executive Director and the rest of the Creature Hero Team on various projects that further our goal of helping kids protect wildlife. This position requires a great deal of personal initiative, intra-team collaboration, and partnerships with outside groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee outreach to kids and families through social media, website, newsletters, etc.
    • Write and publish social media posts and newsletters, build our website, and oversee our online presence
    • Assist in creating new and exciting programs that engage kids in the conservation of animals they love
    • Create partner relationships with like-minded conservation and/or corporate organizations that can further the goals of KBCH
    • Assist in raising funds and building sustainable revenue streams for the general operation of KBCH, as specific initiatives
    • Liaise and coordinate with various members of the Creature Hero Foundation Team for all relevant information, support, and media that is necessary for efficient and effective operation of KBCH
    • Research different wildlife species and conservation stories
    • Oversee communication with Creature Heroes through emails, physical mailings, and social media messaging
    • Work with the KBCH Team on day-to-day projects as well as planning the long-term development of the organization
    • Work with Executive Director and Co-Founders on the creation of a worldwide network of Kratt Brothers Creaturefuges
    • Liaise with the Advisory board while planning the long-term goals of the organization
    • Travel to Grizzly Gulch, our wildlife refuge in Montana, to assist in conservation work

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

      • Great enthusiasm for both engaging kids and protecting wild animals
      • Strong writing and communication skills
      • Background in working with children and or families
      • Great at working in a collaborative setting and multitasking
      • Extremely self-motivated and creative

Preferred

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Working knowledge of WordPress and or web design
    • Proficient in graphic design
    • Proficient in video editing software
    • Experience with customer relationship management software (i.e., Hubspot, Mailchimp)
